Starcraft II Review
Many of us have waited over a decade for the hopes of a sequel to Starcraft, an award winning and world renowned game loved in all areas of the globe. After over 12 years, Blizzard has finally been kind enough to give us what we’ve been waiting for, a second installment in this epic franchise. The legacy of Starcraft II, already reaching the hearts of many RTS gamers on this Earth (including mine), has only begun. As a fellow Starcraft II gamer and a major Blizzard fan myself, I felt it was right to review this game as one of the most successful and joyful tear-jerking games in history.

When considering talking about the graphics of Starcraft II, the most obvious answer is that, yes, it has improved beyond no other. Everyone remembers the graphics from Starcraft, which, although now seems outdated and awkward, was the bomb back in 1998. The new graphics definitely fight the current era that it’s been released in. Of course you’re not going to get Marines that look like real life people, but Blizzard definitely has matched (if not surpassed) the bar for current RTS games. Blizzard’s cinematics also never fail to disappoint.
During Warcraft III, I was in shock and awe at the inter-campaign cinematics, and Starcraft II is no exception. Though they could be a little better graphically for in-game ones, they certainly do not disappoint. Adding the scroll zoom in feature that was in Warcraft III into Starcraft II also was a cool new feature to the Starcraft franchise. The interface of the overall concept is also very smooth and fitting for the Starcraft universe. The profile pages are detailed and displayed in a good layout.

Blizzard continues to make great story lines that are captivating, and allow even the most uninformed of Starcraft players to join in on the action of Jim Raynor. The new storyline definitely has me hooked and wanting to complete just to see what happens next. The in-game graphics between each mission also work greatly with the game, and the narrating is done very well.
